Youth Council Prilep participates in Macedonia Model United Nations

The volunteer sector will participate in the Macedonia Model United Nations. Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the real United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.

Students participate in a yearlong process of research and practice in preparation for an early summer conference.

At the conference, through a series of committee sessions, the delegates have to work together to develop working papers and eventually draft resolutions. These resolutions act as recommendations for resolving global issues.

Through the MUN process students have the opportunity to practice their English, interact with a diverse group of participants and broaden their understanding of international issues and the dynamics of world politics.
